team's mission is to identify, contain and eradicate cybersecurity
threats in the Aurora software, hardware, and services. Our team is
responsible for:
- Building, testing and maintaining threat detection controls for
the Aurora Driver & enterprise
- Building, operating and maintaining a mature Security
Operations program
- Leading investigations of cybersecurity eventsWe are searching
for an experienced Security Operations Engineer with strong
experience in building and managing a Security Operations program,
preferably for the autonomous vehicle platform. Job level is
negotiable based on experience.In this role, you will
- Monitor, investigate and respond to security threats across
Aurora systems and networks
- Continuously improve cybersecurity response operations
- Develop Security Operations learning and development
materials
- Grow the presence and thought leadership of Security
Operations
- Define, implement and track Security Operations KPIs
- Participate in on-call rotation for incident response and
escalations
- Prepare and present Security Operations vision and strategy for
Security leadershipRequired Qualifications
- Experience building a mature Security Operations program
- Experience with cybersecurity incident response investigations
and management
- Experience triaging and investigating cybersecurity alerts
- Experience with SIEM, EDR and log analysis
- Experience developing tools to optimize and automate response
processes
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
with proven ability to communicate clearly with all leadership
levelsDesirable Qualifications
- Experience aligning Security Operations with industry standards
including NIST / SOC2 / ISO
- Experience conducting training and mentoring for Security
Operations and Incident Response
- Familiarity with Cloud Security (AWS) and
infrastructure-as-codeThe base salary range for this position is
$220k-$352K per year. Aurora's pay ranges are determined by role,
level, and location. Within the range, the successful candidate's
starting base pay will be determined based on factors including
job-related skills, experience, qualifications, relevant education
or training, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in
the future. The successful candidate will also be eligible for an
